Integration II
Full C1 tasks that need reading, reformulation, cohesion, lexis and register together.
Nothing new is introduced here. What is new is that each task needs several of the level’s skills at once, and that the order in which you apply them matters: understand the claim, decide how strong it is, then choose the words and the register.
| Task | What it needs |
|---|---|
| Dense sentence → clear summary | unpacking + verbal style + section summary |
| Claim + data → verdict | evidence evaluation + accurate reformulation |
| Informal argument → analytical prose | register + impersonality + hedging |
| Strong assertion → academic statement | Konjunktiv II + es-frame |
| Poor paragraph → coherent paragraph | information structure + cohesion |
| Near-synonym choice → implied stance | lexical precision + attribution |
| Competing claims → reported fairly | attribution + distance + synthesis |
When two skills pull against each other — caution and clarity, for instance — clarity wins. A cautious sentence whose claim cannot be identified has failed at the more important job.
Es ließe sich unter Umständen argumentieren, dass möglicherweise gewisse Effekte denkbar wären.Es ließe sich argumentieren, dass die Maßnahme kurzfristig wirkt.
Everything the level teaches about distance can be used to say nothing. One frame, one hedge, one identifiable claim.
