    My name is Ayoub.

  • Ich bin 25 Jahre alt.

    I am 25 years old.

  • Ich komme aus Marokko.

origin — where you are from

  • Ich wohne in Hamburg.

    I live in Hamburg.

residence — where you live now

  • Ich arbeite als Lehrerin.

    I work as a teacher.

aus for the country you come from, in for the town you live in.

The same five, asked rather than told. Note that each question starts with the question word and puts the verb straight after it.

German keeps alt at the end. Dropping it sounds unfinished, the way "I am 25 years" does in English.

A profession after sein takes no article at all. Not ein Lehrer — just Lehrer.
