Using the passive
Present, past and Perfekt passive, modal passive, and turning an active sentence into a passive one.
The passive is not a fancier way to say things. It is what German uses when what happened matters more than who did it — repairs, rules, processes, offices.
Passive = a form of werden + Partizip II. Change the werden to change the tense; the participle never moves.

In the Perfekt passive the participle of werden is worden, not geworden. geworden belongs to "to become".
The form worth real effort is the modal passive, because B1 is full of it: what must be done, what can be done, what may not be done.
Modal passive = modal + Partizip II + werden at the very end.
Das Problem muss gelöst werden.
The problem has to be solved.
Die E-Mail kann heute geschickt werden.
The email can be sent today.
Hier darf nicht geraucht werden.
Smoking is not allowed here.

To turn an active sentence into a passive one, take the accusative object and make it the subject. Everything else follows.

The doer usually vanishes — that is the point. If it genuinely matters, add it with von + Dativ.
Die Wohnung wird von einer Firma geputzt.
The flat is cleaned by a company.
Das Auto ist gestern repariert geworden.Das Auto ist gestern repariert worden.
worden in the passive. geworden means "became".
Das Problem muss werden gelöst.Das Problem muss gelöst werden.
werden goes last, after the participle. The modal holds position 2 alone.
